EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: If you want to sign up for a playday or a tournament, you MUST do it before the item is removed from the list on GolfNet. Jared is going to leave the list open up to the minute that he sits down to do the pairings. The first step in the process will be to remove the current item from the list of sign-ups. As of the instant that happens, that event is closed to sign ups. Since events will be posted for several weeks, and you can sign up from home, from the ProShop, or by phone into the ProShop, there will be no exceptions to this policy (unless I see a need to change it. You guys elected me, now you're stuck for a while ). Let's see how this works......

This is a test of a new feature. I have created some documents that are related to the Breakfast Shamble. They are stored on Gmail documents and I made them available to anyone who has the link. Below appears two links. #1 will take you to the rules sheets for the event and #2 will be the prize list for the event. If this works out, you should be able to click on the link and see the document. If not, I'll delete this very quickly until I can make it work.

Announcement: This year, there will be no “Green Book” for sign ups for tournaments or play days. All sign ups will be done on GolfNet. There are two ways that you can sign up. 1. Sign up at the ProShop. Go to the ProShop computer and click on Tournament Options. You will be presented with a screen asking for your member number. Enter as usual. Then you will see a screen that gives you an option of which tournament or play day that you want to sign up for. Touch that line on the screen until it turns white. Then just hit submit. Jared says that he thinks that he will be able to enter one months worth of events on the screen, so take a little care that you are selecting the correct event. The other options presented on this screen allow you to see which events you have signed up for, or to see everyone who has signed up for a particular event. 2. From any computer connected to the Internet. Sign on to GolfNet just as you normally do. Then click the button that says “Club Tournaments”. You will be presented with a list of events that you can sign up for. When you select the event of interest, you will see a screen that shows your name and handicap and then you just click Submit. You’re done. You can only sign up one time per event, so if you go back you will see a display that shows you that you are signed up already.
If you make a mistake, or later change your mind about playing, you will have to contact one of our Assistant Pros to be removed from the list.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask the guys at the ProShop or me. We’ll make up an answer.
